The Challenge

Entertainment Magpie is Europe’s largest purchaser and multi-channel retailer of replay CD’s, DVD’s looking to grow their business through High Street expansion. Cushman & Wakefield’s objectives are: to 1) forge a relationship between Entertainment Magpie and major UK landlords 2) increase awareness of a new retailer brand in the market and 3) acquire shops on the high street and in shopping centres on a cost-driven basis.


The Solution

Step 1:

Exposure – to build a new brand and acquire new shops in the market place Cushman & Wakefield have implemented a letting strategy that has educated landlords and agents on the brand and business objectives.

Step 2:

Identify suitable locations within the top 100 towns and cities as an initial focus.


The Results

That’s Entertainment are now trading from 26 stores throughout the UK having established key relationships with several major UK landlords and built a wide-scale customer following. The current pipeline of new stores means our client is well on target for the current financial year.
