Tenant and Landlord Refurbishment

The Challenge
There were several challenges that were vital to the whole 60,000 sq ft refurbishment CAT A and CAT B project. Managing the landlord and tenants aspirations, providing the relevant information quickly and efficiently for client sign off who were US based and maintain the line services whilst installing new services whilst refurbishing within a fully occupied building and operational Data Centre.
The Solution
Weekly workshops were arranged between the designer, contractor and the mechanical and electrical consultants. An intrusive survey of the existing services was undertaken to prevent any risk to the live client’s operational requirements and a regular newsletter was issued updating the staff of future construction works. A migration strategy was put in place to co-ordinate the moves, refurbishment and furniture installation. The design including the finishes and furniture were presented either in the UK as mock up spaces or we provided a SharePoint site where the client could access confidential material quickly and efficiently.
The Results
All construction phases were handed over to the client within budget and programme and most importantly with no incidents regarding their security and Data Centre operations. Following the delivery of the Interactive Data London head office refurbishment, C&W has since been appointed to undertake the Design and Project Management of their Milan office refurbishment and Dublin relocation.
