The Challenge
Cushman & Wakefield were appointed by the joint venture company Gazeley/Metlife to identify an occupier for their 707,000 sq ft speculatively developed warehouse property located in Rugeley, Staffordshire. At the time of construction, the building was the largest speculatively built warehouse in the UK.
The Solution
Cushman & Wakefield along with their joint agents undertook a targeted marketing campaign aimed at the larger occupiers in the distribution and retail sectors. The campaign included direct mailing, cold calling and significant press advertising, all aimed at ensuring that the G.Park Rugeley brand was recognised within the key market sectors.
The Results
A tenant was identified within 12 months of Cushman & Wakefield’s appointment and an agreement was reached to lease the building for an undisclosed term. Gazeley/Metlife secured a globally recognized brand occupier for this building generating significant investment value for the premises.
