Valuation of London Borough of Islington Portfolio

The Challenge

C&W are instructed in the ongoing annual valuation of the Council’s property portfolio including residential, commercial and community assets located across the Borough. The majority of the assets are occupied and/or operated by the Council; a small proportion comprise third party investments. The approximate portfolio value is £5.0 billion.

The Solution

Due to the size of the portfolio we adopt several approaches to meet our client’s requirements set by their auditors. The residential portfolio is valued on a beacon approach and 20% of the commercial/community assets are selected each year for inspection and valuation.

The Results

A coordinated and bespoke service for London Borough of Islington, allowing for ongoing asset review and greater understanding of their property holdings.
