Letting to Cigna Life Insurance in Greenock
Riverside Inverclyde (RI) is an urban regeneration company (URC) tasked with developing over 4.5 miles of waterfront from Port Glasgow to Greenock.
As part of its development plan, RI identified the need for modern business and industrial space within the Inverclyde region which would help attract inward investment and also assist indigenous companies to expand.
RI completed construction of Clyde View in July 2009, a modern Grade A office building extending in total to approximately 26,113 sq ft. This is the first speculative office building to be built in the Inverclyde area for approximately 15 years.
Following a formal tender process, Cushman & Wakefield was appointed as sole letting agents to create a marketing campaign and secure occupiers for the building.
An innovative marketing campaign was put in place targeting local, national and international occupiers.
The marketing campaign focused on the flexibility of the accommodation whilst also emphasising the very high quality of the building, its high profile roadside position and high specification.
Of special significance, we worked in tandem with RI to target renewable energy companies through our global network of contacts.
Within 12 months of the building's practical completion, the building was fully let to a number of indigenous local occupiers such as Childcare Training Solutions, Jenda Energy, 2020 Renewables and Toltech Internet Solutions. International occupiers Goltens Shipping and Cigna Life Insurance Company of Europe also secured space.
