The Challenge
Cushman & Wakefield was appointed by Miller Developments as commercial property advisers following a purchase of 120 acres of land at Linwood in 2011.
The Solution
Cushman & Wakefield assessed the retail and leisure potential for the location and identified a prominent roadside site which was deemed most suitable for development in this sector of the market.
We worked with Miller Developments' Planning & Development team to prepare a masterplan and identified a number of potential requirements in respect of which site sale negotiations commenced. We provided advice to the client on suitable layouts, pricing and occupier requirements.
The Results
A 1.45 acre site was sold to Greene King for a new family pub/restaurant. The site was sold in competition with two other similar operators, resulting in a price achieved for the client which was ahead of their expectations.
