Cushman & Wakefield acquired 25,514 sq ft of Grade A office space on behalf of The Weir Group Plc at 1 West Regent Street. The brief was to secure the best available floors within a Grade A building in the heart of Glasgow City Centre for a new Global Headquarters.
An initial search for available space including looking at off market opportunities, resulted in a shortlist of five properties.
Through analysis against a number of quantitative and qualitative parameters, a shortlist of two buildings was established.
After negotiations with prospective landlords, pre-let Heads of Terms were agreed with Clearbell / M&G Real Estate at 1 West Regent Street.
Cushman & Wakefield quickly secured this space against stiff competition from a number of other interested occupiers.
