About the event

The world is changing at a rapid pace and organisations need to move at the same speed if not faster. However, this won’t be something reserved solely for large organisations. As Rupert Murdoch once stated, big will no longer beat small, in terms of business size. Instead, it will be about the fast beating the slow.

The success of organisations will no longer be solely dependent on the strategy adopted. In fact, we believe that the success of organisations will be dependent on their pace of execution, and the strategy adopted will need to support and focus on increasing the pace. Employees will therefore need greater flexibility to enable them to think, act and execute ‘in the moment’ and the business itself will need to be agile and responsive to change to facilitate a faster pace.

But what part does real estate play in all of this? Is your real estate a ‘frustrator’ or ‘facilitator’ of the pace at which business can be conducted? How can real estate be adapted to increase the pace of a business?

We will also brainstorm:

  • How real estate could better support the pace of business and explore ideas including collaborative working with clients/customers and employees being recruited on the basis of their EQ level, with an environment to support corresponding attributes
  • How the workplace and CRE function can help to optimise business performance by working with other partners in HR, Finance and ICT, to develop enterprise-wide approaches that really create value for the organisation and drive the overall pace

Speed, not haste, is key for all successful businesses and real estate and employees must help to facilitate this.
