Cushman & Wakefield is the most active retail agent in the West Midlands

Leading real estate company Cushman & Wakefield has been named as the most active retail agent in the West Midlands – for the third year running.

The firm – which last year completed a massive 260 transactions – finished in top spot in a survey of deal activity carried out by a leading property trade magazine.

The accolade comes just months after the team was named ‘top letting agent’ for the second consecutive year in another trade awards scheme, ‘Going Shopping 2015’.

Doug Tweedie, of Cushman & Wakefield’s retail team in Birmingham, said that the deal activity award had shown that the firm was continuing to go from strength-to-strength in the retail sector in the Midlands.

“The award for West Midland’s most active retail agent is a testament to the hard work that the team Ed, Alex, Leanne and myself have carried out on behalf of our very loyal client base,” he said.

“We have achieved some great results this year having brought the likes of The Entertainer, Fat Face, JD Sports and Pandora into many of our schemes.

“As confidence grows in the occupational market, we look forward to an equally as strong 2015.”

Cushman & Wakefield’s Birmingham office now handles 20 major shopping centre instructions, including Gracechurch Centre, Sutton Coldfield; Mell Square, Solihull and Three Spires Lichfield.

Clients include M&G, Aviva, LaSalle Investment Management, Vale Retail, Benson Elliot and IM Properties and the firm acts for a number of retailers, including Card Factory, Wolseley, Burger King and Holland & Barrett.
