Global real estate adviser Cushman & Wakefield (C&W) has strengthened its UK Valuation & Advisory (V&A) team by hiring associates Gareth Wilson and Russell Hefferan from DTZ.
Based in C&W’s Manchester office, the well-respected pair will form an integral part of the business’ UK-wide V&A group when they join in May. Wilson and Hefferan will also bring a wealth of expertise and contacts in the North West that will help expand C&W’s valuation business in the region.
Wilson and Hefferan have worked together in DTZ’s Manchester office since 2006, specialising in valuing commercial property across the North West for an impressive client list, including banks, institutional funds, national and regional property companies, local authorities and landowners.
Cushman & Wakefield’s head of UK V&A, David Lusher, said: “This is an excellent move for us. Gareth and Russell are talented professionals and incredibly well regarded on a local and national level by clients and peers alike. Our UK business is growing rapidly and we have ambitious plans for further growth. With Gareth and Russell joining the team we are well set to further increase our market share.”
Last year C&W V&A’s 80-strong team valued over £79 billion across the UK for assets including office, retail, industrial, hotels, self storage, outlet malls and residential. As part of its expansion strategy last year C&W V&A appointed David Mills to head its portfolio team and won seven new mandates in nine months for clients such as Royal London Asset Management and British Airways.
