Cushman & Wakefield has recruited Pete Harding from GVA James Barr to join its award-winning Scottish retail team.

Pete, a graduate of Glasgow Caledonian University, joined GVA in 2011 and has worked on behalf of corporate clients, private individuals, funds and property companies including Rockspring, CBRE Investors and Moorfield Group.

His appointment follows a hugely successful year in 2014 for the Cushman & Wakefield retail team. During the year they advised on over 250 transactions, landing them the title of Scotland’s Most Active Retail Agent for a third time.

Stuart Moncur, Head of National Retail Services, Cushman & Wakefield, said: We are delighted that Pete has joined our team – he’ll bring a great deal of enthusiasm and new relationships to our business. Pete will assist us with providing our clients across all spectrums of the retail market with a first class service. Our business has expanded significantly into the leisure sector over the last couple of years and Pete will also help us grow that element of our business further.”

Cushman & Wakefield’s Scottish retail team is currently involved with leasing shopping centres which total approx. 9million sq ft as well as 10 retail parks. This is in addition to being the most active advisor on both Princes Street, Edinburgh and Buchanan Street, Glasgow.

Pete, who will work between the Glasgow and Edinburgh offices, added: “This is an incredible opportunity for me to work with Scotland’s most respected and dynamic retail agency team and I am very much looking forward to the challenges ahead.”
