The West Midlands newest business park has been launched. The development is Mucklow Park i54, and is part of the existing i54 South Staffordshire, a 239-acre scheme sited between north Wolverhampton and Junction 2 of the M54 motorway.

The main development is a £50m joint venture between three neighbouring councils, and was launched ten years ago. It is home to a number of companies, including Jaguar Land Rover, who have built an advanced engine manufacturing facility there. Other occupiers include Eurofins, MOOG and International Security Printers.

Mucklow Park i54 stands at the entrance to the existing i54 scheme, and is being developed by A&J Mucklow Group. The firm is the development partner for the owners of i54, who are Wolverhampton City Council, South Staffordshire Council and Staffordshire County Council.

Mucklow Park i54 is a 15-acre site and is ready for immediate development. It can accommodate up to 265,000 sq ft of buildings, ranging from 40,000 sq ft to 160,000 sq ft.

The letting agents are leading real estate company Cushman & Wakefield and Wolverhampton-based Bulleys.

Mark Vernon, Mucklow investment and development director, said: “We are proud to be involved with i54 and to support the growth of manufacturing in the West Midlands through this development. We will be investing more than £17m in the scheme and will be building best-in-class production facilities to suit occupiers' exact requirements.”

David Binks, head of logistics and industrial agency at Cushman & Wakefield’s Birmingham office, said that the new scheme already had outline planning permission, and buildings could be constructed there for occupiers on a rapid timescale, within a year of agreeing terms.

He said: “i54 has already witnessed significant success with advanced manufacturing occupiers. We are confident that Mucklow Park i54 will continue that trend."
