Cushman & Wakefield and BAR have been jointly mandated to exclusively advise on the sale of DC Tower 1, an iconic trophy property in the heart of Vienna’s new CBD (Central Business District).
Designed by Dominique Perrault, it is the most visually recognisable – and tallest – building in Austria and its stunning architecture dominates the city’s skyline. The property is 250 metres high and comprises 60 storeys of luxury office and hotel space.
BAR has recently leased 15 of the tower’s 60 floors to PwC Austria, Oracle and IBM CIient Innovation Centres. They join existing occupiers such as Voest Alpine, Shire Regus and Melia Hotels and the building is now nearly fully occupied. The combination of DC Tower 1’s exceptional architectural quality and Platinum LEED (Leadership in Energy and environmental Design) certification makes it highly attractive to both occupiers and investors.
Marketing was launched at EXPO REAL at the start of October and both Cushman & Wakefield and BAR expect strong interest from investors.
Paul Boursican, International Partner at Cushman & Wakefield said: “This is a rare opportunity to purchase a well located, modern trophy asset, occupied by globally recognised brands and with a long, secure income stream.”
