Cushman & Wakefield has boosted its Newcastle office following the appointment of Richard Scott as partner to head up its three strong industrial and logistics agency team.
Richard, who previously worked at GVA, Hellens Development and Langtree Group, joins from Sanderson Weatherall and has more than 17 years experience working in the North East industrial market.
Tony Hordon, Partner and Head of Cushman & Wakefield’s Newcastle office says: “We are absolutely delighted to welcome Richard on both a professional and personal level. There is no doubt that he was our number one choice given his standing and reputation in the market. His considerable experience of development together with his knowledge and reputation makes him a first class addition to the team and the perfect compliment to both Emma Conville – our Senior Surveyor – and also the wider office as we continue to foster our ambition to grow. Richard will not only be supporting our existing client base but he will also be part of the wider UK national industrial and logistics, which given its reach should also provide considerable ‘added value’ to our clients.”
Richard adds: “The North East industrial market is a great place to do business at the moment – particularly on the back of the recent announcement from Nissan. C&W already has a number of high profile instructions including Follingsby Park and Tyne Tunnel Estate and with clients such as L&G, UK Land Estates, Northumberland Estates and the HCA, I am confident that this will prove to be an exciting new chapter for me and look forward to the challenges as together with my team, we will look to build on the company’s already strong reputation.”
Cushman & Wakefield currently employs 30 people in its Newcastle office.
