Cushman & Wakefield’s Residential Investment & Private Rented Sector team is taking on two more staff for the year ahead following a stellar performance in 2016.
Fergus Jack, Partner, and Oliver Chapman, Associate Director, from the firm’s Valuation & Advisory department have been brought in after the team secured or carried out £500m worth of business last year. Key deals included The Oaks in Ealing, west London, acquired at £72m and Velocity Village, Sheffield, sold for £38m.
The team also said there is significant appetite from investors and developers for forward funding and standing stock deals.
Jack Simmons, Head of Residential Investment at Cushman & Wakefield, said: "I am delighted both Fergus and Oli have decided to join us at such an exciting time. This not only increases our market presence but their structuring skill set will greatly benefit our client strategies."
The appointments are the latest in a series of hires within the Cushman & Wakefield residential team as the firm further broadens its access to the sector.
Candice Matthews, Head of Residential at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “The growth of our residential business remains a key priority for Cushman & Wakefield and I am delighted to welcome Fergus and Oliver on board.
“We have made significant headway in expanding the team over the past 12 months and are seeing strong results from the investment in both our UK teams and global infrastructure. Our broad skills set and our choice of services means we can remain agile and responsive to market conditions, focused always on providing robust and innovative advice to our clients.”
