Cushman & Wakefield’s Head of Scotland Stuart Dorward met with HRH The Princess Royal at the recent launch of ACCA’s (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) new global operational centre in Glasgow.
He was one of the VIP invited guests at the event to celebrate the official opening of the offices at 110 Queen Street, which has been named as a finalist in the British Council for Offices (BCO) Awards 2017.
Cushman & Wakefield represented ACCA in securing, designing and managing the delivery of their new premises which span 55,750 sq ft over the first, second and third floors of the landmark glass-fronted building. Cushman & Wakefield are also joint letting agents on the building.
Jan Lloyd, head of global business support at ACCA said that: “The decision to move our global operations centre to the heart of the city at 110 Queen Street is a statement of our future commitment to Glasgow, having been based in the city since 1976. From HRH the Princess Royal’s presence to a piper welcoming guests, the occasion was a real head-turner which truly marked the start of a new era for ACCA in Scotland. As the leading global professional body for accountants we were delighted to work with Cushman & Wakefield to find a new home which matches our ambitions for the future.”
Stuart Dorward added: “Cushman & Wakefield have been very privileged to work closely with ACCA over the last four years on a series of high profile mandates, supporting the reshaping of their operational strategy. This Glasgow project is a real flagship for them and offers a rather special and exciting environment, right in the heart of the city. And all now reinforced by Royal appointment!&rdquo
