The Birmingham and Cardiff offices of Cushman & Wakefield have been recognised by leading property industry title, Estates Gazette.
The Birmingham Retail agency team has been named as Most Active Agent 2016 for the West Midlands. The team, consisting of Adam Lazenbury, Doug Tweedie, Ed Purcell, Emma Hughes and Leanne Livingstone were awarded the accolade for the fifth year running.
The team is currently instructed on a number of high profile shopping centres and schemes across the West Midlands including, the Mander Centre in Wolverhampton, Regent Arcade in Cheltenham, The Gracechurch Centre in Sutton Coldfield and Telford Shopping Centre. Key deals included: a 28,000 sq ft letting to Apple in Birmingham city centre, a 28,000 sq ft letting to H&M in Wolverhampton, 24,000 sq ft letting to Sports Direct in Telford and lettings to Office and Flying Tiger at The Gracechurch Centre.

In addition, Cushman & Wakefield has been named as Cardiff’s top office agent after transacting more than 250,000 sq ft in 2016. The Cardiff team, consisting of Rhys James (Head of the Cardiff office), Chris Terry (Associate) and Gail Sommers (Secretary) delivered two of the largest deals of 2016: a 100,000 sq ft prelet to Hugh James Solicitors at Two Central Square and a 71,500 sq ft prelet to Motonovo Finance at One Central Square .
