Cushman & Wakefield’s London Office Agency team was crowned Office Agency Team of the Year at Property Week’s 2017 Property Awards, while its national investment team was highly commended in the Investment Agency category.

During 2016, the firm’s winning London Office Agency team – which brings together leasing, occupier representation and lease advisory – acquired or leased 4.7m sq ft in Central London across 231 transactions and was involved in 5 of the top 10 largest deals of the year. The lease advisory team advised clients on rent reviews of 3.43m sq ft with a rent roll of £149.1m.

George Roberts, Head of London Markets, said: “The Team of the Year award reflects a phenomenal year for our London office agency team which enjoys a privileged position as trusted advisor to some of the most forward-thinking owners and occupiers of real estate. Our sustained success in London is built on a fantastic team and I was delighted to collect the award on their behalf.”

As well as paying tribute to the outstanding achievements of the firm in the last year, judges also noted the forward-thinking nature of the firm through initiatives such as its Futures Group. This brings together experts from the fields of technology, engineering, design and real estate from around the globe to collaborate with new insights and the latest thinking on how to create and transform space for future societies.

The firm’s highly-commended national investment team advised on more than £5bn of office transactions across the UK during 2016, including 20 deals in excess of £100m. Across the year, the team ranked first for: acquisitions in Central London, regional office acquisitions, high street retail investment, shopping centre investment and cross border retail.
