Cushman & Wakefield has appointed Lee Layton to a residential research role in its London Markets team.

Layton joins from Carter Jonas, one of the UK’s leading residential experts, where he was responsible for the creation of a number of proprietary datasets and indices for the firm, as well as key research reports focused on market performance and outlook.

In his new role at Cushman & Wakefield, Layton will focus on the key topics, trends and issues shaping the residential market to help the firm’s clients make informed decisions.

Layton said: “Cushman & Wakefield has developed an enviable reputation for research and insight, and I’m looking forward to working across our various residential skill lines and geographies to expand our focus on this important sector.”

Candice Matthews, Head of Residential at Cushman & Wakefield, adds: “The residential market is evolving rapidly, and now more than ever, it is vital that we provide our clients with forward looking and insightful market research which adds value by allowing them to anticipate challenges and opportunities as they present themselves.”

Layton will be based within the London Markets residential team and will divide his time between the firm’s City and West End offices.

Layton is the second arrival in the Residential team this month. Daniel McDonagh joined as a Partner in the land and development team
