Cushman & Wakefield's Thames Valley Industrial Agency Team has been named ‘Industrial & Logistics Property Consultancy of the Year’ and Heather Harvey-Wood won ‘Young Property Professional of the Year’ in the Thames Valley Property Awards 2017.

In a highly competitive category, the team fought off stiff competition to be awarded the accolade at a ceremony attended by 600 of the Thames Valley’s top professionals, developers, agents and architects at Ascot Racecourse. The team let 650,000 sq ft of industrial space in the region in 2016 and averaged a deal a week on Slough Trading Estate, Europe’s largest trading estate in single ownership, for whom they are sole agents for SEGRO.

The Thames Valley Industrial team consists of Karen Thomas, Heather Harvey-Wood, Chris Park and Oliver Black. The contributions of former graduates of the team in 2016, Lee Fitzgerald, Dominic Barnard and Ardeshir Mirhashem were equally important to the team’s success.

David Haynes, International Partner and Head of Business Space London & South East, commented: “These awards are a fantastic recognition of the team’s efforts and team work last year. In a challenging market environment and circumstances it is great to have their successes recognised. Heather really stepped up to the plate in 2016 and her dedication and tenacity has now been rewarded by her clients and peers. Being made Young Property Professional of the Year is definitely well deserved and a reflection of the high esteem in which she is held in the Thames Valley”.

Commenting on her award, Heather said “I was delighted to be nominated for this award and feel honoured to have won and have my work recognised in front of my peers. However, I could not have risen to the challenges of last year without the support of Chris, Lee, Dominic and Ardeshir - it was a real team effort and I am proud to have led us to such a successful 2016.”
