Cushman & Wakefield Appoints Glasgow Offices Stalwart

Phil Reid, of Phil Reid Associates, has been appointed by Cushman & Wakefield as an Office Agency consultant.

Reid’s 30 years’ office market experience includes lengthy spells heading up the Glasgow Office Agency teams for JLL (10 years) and CBRE (seven years), before setting up his own business in late 2008.

The part-time consultancy agreement, effective immediately, formalises a successful working relationship which includes last year’s award-winning letting at 110 Queen Street to ACCA, on which both Phil Reid Associates and Cushman & Wakefield acted. It allows Reid to work on significant Cushman & Wakefield projects while also continuing to work with his own existing clients.

David Davidson, Cushman & Wakefield’s Chair of Scotland, commented: “This is an important appointment for Cushman & Wakefield as Phil has substantial experience and an unrivalled track record with large-scale transactions. This will bring a new focus for our major leasing instructions, complementing our existing team.

“I have known Phil for nearly 30 years and believe that the blend of his experience and gravitas, together with Fergus MacLennan and Martin Speirs’ enthusiasm, energy and tenacity, offers something fresh for the market and our clients.”

Cushman & Wakefield’s Glasgow Office Agency team will be further strengthened when Gillian Giles returns from maternity leave.

Phil Reid said: ‘Change brings opportunity and working with Cushman & Wakefield will be an exciting challenge. This part-time consultancy allows me to work on some specific, highest-quality projects with the Cushman & Wakefield team whilst continuing to run my own business and service the needs of my clients as I do now. With no new office developments on site in Glasgow and demand improving, this is an exciting time to be joining Cushman & Wakefield.”
