Cushman & Wakefield has expanded its UK Healthcare Advisory team with the appointment of highly-experienced specialist Henry Harris as Partner.

Harris joins from Lambert Smith Hampton where he was the Director responsible for Healthcare. Previously, he was Head of Healthcare at Edward Symmons and has 20 years’ experience in the care sector. His clients include leading lenders to the sector, operators, developers, investors, local authorities and NHS Trusts.

The arrival of Harris further boosts Cushman & Wakefield’s healthcare offering which has grown rapidly since being established in 2016 and was most recently strengthened by the arrival of London’s leading independent specialist David Kerr.

Martin Robb, Cushman & Wakefield’s Head of Healthcare Advisory, said: “Henry brings vast industry knowledge and experience to our already-thriving team. I’m sure he will be an incredibly valuable addition.

“Healthcare is an increasingly important market, attracting a broad range of investors from the UK and overseas. In 2016, we established a dedicated team of specialists that can provide our clients with valuation, advisory and transactional expertise and with each new addition we are going from strength-to-strength.

“In less than two years, we have advised on projects with an aggregate value in excess of £2.2 billion, giving us a significant presence in the healthcare market.”

Henry Harris, Partner, Cushman & Wakefield, said: “The healthcare market has become more international and more capital intensive in recent years and this requires advisors to be better resourced and with wider skills and experience. The team at Cushman & Wakefield is already recognised as one of the most capable in the sector and hopefully with my breadth of experience I can contribute to that further.”

Cushman & Wakefield’s Healthcare Advisory team provides the full breadth of healthcare services, from valuation through to global capital sourcing, and has a thorough understanding of the different dynamics of each sub-sector of the market, including: elderly care; specialist care homes; secure care; private acute hospitals; childcare; GP surgeries; and Special Educational Needs schools.
