New networking organisation CREation launches at WeWork

300 attend WeWork Moorgate to celebrate the launch of CREation – the new early career networking organisation

Tuesday 23rd January saw the launch of CREation, the new networking organisation set up to address the networking imbalance in the industry and provide opportunities for those just starting out.

The fully subscribed launch event included a talk from industry leader Despina Katsikakis (Cushman & Wakefield) on the ‘Value of a Social Work Place’ as well a panel discussion on ‘the Benefits of Connections in Modern Real Estate’, detailing issues such as technology in networking and the networking generation gap.

Greg Miley, Director of Broker & Real Estate Partnerships at WeWork, spoke on the panel and said of the partnership between CREation and WeWork: 'WeWork’s mission is to help its members create a life, not just a living, and at the heart of that is our community. We're proud to host CREation’s launch event: their ambition to bring people together and help them build networks fits well with our efforts to help businesses grow through building a community to support them.’

The event was attended by a wide range of people, from industry leaders through to apprentices in a wide range of real estate disciplines including Surveying, Planning, Legal, Recruitment, Consulting and Development.

CREation was the idea of Harri John (Cushman & Wakefield) and Rosanna Lawn (YOO). It aims to create an inclusive network for students, graduates, apprentices and newly-qualified property professionals. It provides individuals from all backgrounds and sectors the opportunity to build their network and gain a better understanding of industry ‘hot topics’ that have the ability to impact their career in the near future.

Harri John, Co-founder of CREation said of the launch event ‘Rosanna and I were delighted with the response and the general feedback we have had from the event, the fact that other people are so invested in our vision and acknowledge the need for CREation, makes the hard work that we, and our amazing committee, are doing that much more rewarding.’

Rosanna Lawn, Co-founder of CREation said ‘We have an exciting year ahead, with some amazing collaborative events in the pipeline, and partnerships with great organisations, offering a range of specialisms. We are eager to listen to our peers and deliver topics of interest in a relaxed and fun environment.’

CREation continues its offer with a regional launch event in Manchester next month, plus, in London, an evening focused around the ever-growing impact PropTech has on the evolving - date to be announced.

Cushman & Wakefield is a founding partner of CREation.
