Student accommodation and higher education specialist, Sarah Jones has rejoined Cushman & Wakefield as Partner having spent 18 months at Empiric Student Property plc as Director of Research & Development.
Sarah will be based in Cushman & Wakefield’s Leeds office and will be working with Andrew TC Smith who heads the firm’s Public Sector Advisory Team nationally.
Sarah formerly worked in the Education and Innovation team at Cushman & Wakefield and established the student residential advisory skill line for which the team is renowned.
In her new role, Sarah will be working closely with Andrew to expand the range of services Cushman & Wakefield offers in areas of university interactions with private sector partners and investors. This includes student residential partnerships but will also go further to encompass academic provision reflecting how the role of universities in society is changing.

Cushman & Wakefield’s Public Sector Advisory Team advises all parts of the public sector on how it occupies, develops and manages its properties, including estate strategy, estates collaboration, financial modelling, OJEU procurement and organisational review. Most recently, it was appointed by the HMRC to provide surveying and rating services across the UK.
