Cushman & Wakefield has appointed former Kingfisher PLC’s Group Property Manager, Tim Crighton, to provide specialist logistics and retail supply chain advice to clients across EMEA.

Crighton joins Cushman & Wakefield as a Partner from Europe’s leading home improvement retailer Kingfisher PLC, where he led logistics and distribution activities across its network of more than 1,100 stores in 10 European countries. Prior to this, he held roles at Linde Group subsidiaries BOC and GIST, and was Head of EMEA Industrial and Logistics at Colliers International.

Rob Hall, Chair of EMEA Logistics & Industrial at Cushman & Wakefield, said: “We have been strengthening our logistics capabilities in key markets and Tim will play a pivotal role in extending our logistics and retail offering and complements our existing talent. He brings specialist knowledge to one of the fastest changing environments in real estate.

“Due to their footprint, logistics sites are often one of the biggest commitments within retailers’ portfolios. The specialist guidance Tim provides will be invaluable in helping clients to navigate the challenges that arise and maximise efficiencies on offer.”

Digby Flower, Chairman UK & Ireland, said: “Logistics strategies are a critical component in determining success in today’s retail market. By increasing speed-to-market and reducing costs, retailers can meet the demands of modern consumers and boost their own bottom line in a highly-competitive sector.”

Tim Crighton, Partner, said: “In my former role at Kingfisher I frequently worked with the team at Cushman & Wakefield and have always regarded them to be a leader in the retail and logistics sectors. This is a fantastic opportunity to join the business at an incredibly exciting time and help shape the client insight across both sectors.”

Cushman & Wakefield has made a number of senior appointments across its Logistics & Industrial and Retail teams in the past six months. Richard Evans joins the firm in May as Head of UK Logistics & Industrial, alongside Chris Knight, a Partner within the London and South East Logistics Agency Team. Industrial specialists, Kristoffer Sandberg and Nils Eriksson have also joined in Sweden. Earlier this month, the firm announced that it had hired the team behind leading independent investment advisor, Coady Supple – Robin Coady, Dermot Supple and David Sadler – to provide specialist advice to shopping centre owners and investors in a rapidly-evolving market.
