- Brexit has had negligible impact on the market to date with a majority of lenders still willing to lend in the UK (Figure 1). The UK market remains just as attractive as it did pre-Brexit. However, sentiment has changed slightly with lower LTVs and higher margins.
- Positive balance of lenders expect originations and refinancing activities to increase in the coming six months.
- Risk aversion remains with focus on standing investments across all markets. Increased willingness to lend on pre-let development in second tier markets. Limited appetite for speculative development post Brexit.
